Gail is the founder and principal of Burling Insurance Group Long Term Care established in 2003. She brings a unique background of long-term healthcare service delivery with the development and marketing of long-term care individual and group insurance. She has consulted and implemented association and employer sponsored true and multi-life group LTC programs for over a decade. Gail has authored industry articles for the Society of Actuaries Group LTC division, Employees Benefits Digest and has been quoted in other industry publications regarding employer sponsored LTCi including The National Underwriter.


Andria Bovey

Andria Bovey helps people understand the impact of needing care and its effect on American families and their savings. She brings the answers to help people prepare for the very likely event we each face of being called upon to be a caregiver or actually needing care ourselves one day. Want to stay home if possible? Michael A. Schadek, Esq.

My name is Michael A. Schadek, Esq. and I am a partner with Long Term Care Financial Partners, an attorney and a long-term care specialist. I received my B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and my J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. I have extensive experience as a presenter with long-term care insurance seminars.

I feel my approach is unique because I analyze each person's individual financial and long-term situation and can develop a customized plan that fits their unique circumstances.

I first became interested in the long-term care insurance industry through a personal family experience where I witnessed first-hand the financial disaster of not being adequately prepared for long-term care.

Diane Steeves

My name is Diane L. Steeves and I live in Portland, Oregon. I've been involved in the long-term care insurance industry for 18 years and represent John Hancock, Prudential, United of Omaha, and MedAmerica. I have a BA from Wheaton College (Ill.) and a Masters degree in Education from Lewis & Clark College.

While a Life Specialist at Lincoln Benefit/Allstate I did all of the CE training for agents in five states. I regularly present seminars to organizations in WA, OR, AK and ID. In addition, I taught high school for ten years in OR and train long term care specialists at LTC Financial Partners.

I became interested in LTCi after an illness my husband suffered at age 42. When we began to look for LTCi at a time when we could not afford the coverage and Walt was uninsurable, it was a huge wake up call. At that time I committed my life to making sure no one else ever made the mistake we had made, of not taking LTC seriously and planning ahead.

What is the 3in4 Need More Campaign?

In a recent survey, Prudential Financial Inc. notes that 74% of consumers ages 55 to 65 surveyed said they are concerned about needing some kind of long-term care. That's about three in every four of us! But the consumer concern has not yet been translated into action in most cases.

In the Prudential survey, 25% of all consumers admitted that they have no idea what a day in a nursing home costs. And only 22% of the participants mentioned the idea of using private LTC insurance to pay for care.

3in4 Need More is a nation-wide awareness campaign to educate Americans on these issues and provide options that will best fit their needs.
